Oh November! What a wonderful and busy month at French Haven with our wonderful French guests who stay with us 3 weeks We showed them many amazing places and people: the fairy penguins at Bicheno, the Gold Mine of Beaconsfield where the beautiful volunteers assisted them for the many gifts they brought back home. How not to mention the Old Highlander Restaurant of Sheffield and their delicious home-made pies and dessert (honey lavender cream... I would die to know the recipe!) and their sweet sweet Musician Matthew who entertained us. Of course there are the Murals and the nice gentleman with his cute alpaca. But wait it is not finished...as for the last day we brought our delighted guests to Copper & Metal Art Gallery at Carrick. As always Tom was wonderful and his works leave us speechless. You will see our superb Kookaburra in the lounge-room. And guess what! Our sweet guest Roland fixed many little things at home despite his short-sightedness and he left us his collection of magnificent photos of French Haven so I can update our Photos Page. What a great time we had with him, dear Mamie Daniele and so kind Veronique always ready to help with a wonderful smile

Our new Russian guest, Olga who came in August with her sweet family also wrote a review on Trip Advisor How nice people take time to do this. They also suggest Surprised Birthday and Anniversary. What a great idea! Thank you so so much

This was our first stay in the French Haven accommodation and it's really feels and tastes like being in France!
Christiane & Patrick provide a most warm and welcome place to stay and the breakfast are amazing !
The house is beautifully furnished and comfortable with extra touches like Champagne and chocolates.
Very good location is about 5 min drive from the shopping center and 15 min from the city.
I recommend this accommodation for couples and familys with two kids and more. It has two bedrooms and double sofa in the salon.
Our only regret is that we can't stay longer!

Autumn came in Legana with lovely Jeanette & Russell who ended their holiday at French Haven. A little rest before taking the Tasmanian ferry, feeding Billy, watching TV, our DVD on Tasmania with one or two glasses of Champagne. Thank you dear Jeanette & Russell. You will be always welcome. Just remember to book directly. It will be cheaper

Oh how amazing it is to have the chance to always have beautiful guests. Patrick and Bernadette are now almost part of our family and in what should be improved on our Guest's Feedback form, they told us " it would have been nice to come out to their lovely patio to have breakfast with them" Oh Sweet Bernadette I did think to invite to share breakfast with us, but we did not want to intrude and to make you feel that you had to accept. You see it is not always evident but to our future lovely guests, if you wish this, please tell us. We shall be absolutely delighted. To come back to our young little friends, it was indeed great to meet them. Bernadette is not only a beautiful young lady, she is so sweet and smart and Patrick though a little shy is extremely friendly.. Dear Wermer and Lisa. Again we had lovely pleople to French Haven for 2 nights. Werner and Lisa went to the East coast the beautiful Glass wine bay and Lisa had a swim on the pristine beach. Lisa also took time to feed our sweet Billy. Yes it was a pleasure to have you with us and thank you for the wonderful information you gave us. It has been very much appreciated. Very Dear Veronique and Clarence. It was a pleasure to have you home and thank you for your patience considering the terrible weather you had most of the time you were there. Such keen guests who did enjoy everything. They went to our beautiful Bicheno, St-Helen, and the Holybank near Lilydale. As you can see they really had a ball. Again thank you and come back soon.

We enjoyed our stay at the French Haven. Our hosts were delightful and extremely helpful going out of their way to make our stay of 3 nights very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and different every morning. If you are travelling as a couple and want to spend time in Launceston, I would definitely recommend staying here. Also Woolworths is only 3 mins away if you need groceries.
